1. What is this document? Why is it important? 

These terms and conditions of sale (" Terms of Sale") govern the purchase of products promoted and sold by us on this Site (" Products ") and the shipment of such Products to the countries we serve. "Site" refers to the website located at the address.

 When you make a purchase from this Site, we ask you to confirm your acceptance of these Terms of Sale and, if you do so, a contract subject to these Terms of Sale is formed between you and us. It is therefore important that you read these Terms of Sale carefully before placing an order for the purchase of Products on this Site (" Order ").

3. Are Product descriptions and prices free of errors?

We make every effort to ensure that the information concerning the Products is accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that the description and/or prices of the Products will be error-free or that the Products will always be available when you wish to place an Order to purchase them.

Furthermore, the colors you see on your screen may be influenced by your computer's settings and operating system. Consequently, we cannot guarantee that your computer will display exactly these colors.

We reserve the right to modify the information concerning the Products displayed on our Site, including those concerning price, description and availability. However, such changes will not affect Orders for which you have already received an order receipt e-mail (see below).

 

4. How can I make a purchase on this Site?

We present here all the steps required to make a purchase (in legal terms, to enter into a purchase contract) on our Site. The procedure below will be available in the following languages, depending on the local website you have accessed: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese.

At the end of the procedure, you will receive your contract, which we will also be able to access in the future, but without being able to modify it.

1st step: place an Order

To make a purchase, you must first place an Order for the purchase of products. We must then accept this Order.

To place an Order, you must be at least 18 years old. You will also have to select the Products on the Site, the delivery method that suits you best and, if you wish, you can choose other optional services, then finish by clicking on the "BUY NOW" button. We will not accept any Orders placed on terms other than those set out above.

2nd step: we acknowledge receipt of the Order

Once you have placed an Order on the Site, you will receive an automated e-mail acknowledging receipt of your Order ("Order Receipt E-mail"). The Order Acknowledgement Email summarizes all the details of your Order (order number, product information, price, delivery address or "In-store pick-up within 1-2 days", delivery charges and other). Please note that the order receipt email is NOT yet an acceptance of your Order.

3rd step: we confirm that the products have been dispatched - contract concluded!

Once we have accepted your Order, we will send you an email confirming that all or some of the products have been shipped ("Shipment Confirmation Email").

The fact that you receive the shipping confirmation e-mail means that your Order has finally been accepted and that the purchase contract established between you and us, and relating to the Products currently being shipped, has been concluded. The said contract is composed as follows: your Order; our Order Receipt and Shipment Confirmation emails; the terms and conditions of sale in force at that time. No other terms and conditions apply.

The shipping confirmation e-mail will contain an unalterable copy of the version of the Terms of Sale applicable at the time the purchase contract is concluded, for future reference.

If we are unable to accept your Order, we will contact you by e-mail as soon as possible and in any event no later than 30 days from the date of your Order. If we are unable to accept your Order because the Products are unavailable, or because an error has occurred in the price and/or other information on our Site, we will refund the amount you have already paid for the Products.

If you have selected an alternative payment method, we may exceptionally have already received your payment when we became aware that the products were unavailable. In this case, we will contact you immediately and issue a full refund.

 

5. How can I pay for the products?

We accept several methods of payment for purchases made on this Site. You will find further details in our Terms of Payment.

 

6. When will the products be delivered? Can I track my shipment?

We offer several delivery options, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your personal needs. Specific terms and conditions and different delivery charges may apply to the different delivery options. Further details can be found in our Terms of delivery.

 

7. I want to return a product I bought here. What do I need to do?

You can return products if you are not satisfied or simply change your mind within 30 days of receipt (right of withdrawal).

You can also return defective products within 2 years (or any longer period stipulated by the law of the country concerned) (legal warranty on consumer goods).

In both cases, you will receive a refund.

 

8. Who can I contact if I have a problem with a purchase or a Product or if I wish to make a complaint? Does United Vintage offer an after-sales service?

9. What is UNITED VINTAGE's liability in the event of problems with a purchase or Product?

Our liability for damages caused by slight negligence shall, irrespective of the legal basis, be limited as follows: we shall be liable up to the amount of foreseeable damages typical of this form of contract due to a breach of material contractual obligations: we shall not be liable due to a slight negligent breach of any other applicable duty of care.

 

10. Are personal data collected and processed on this Site? Why is this done? How is it processed?

By placing your Order, you agree that we may store, process and use your personal data for the purpose of processing your Order. We will treat your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

      For purchases made on our Site, we accept the following methods of payment:

      Payment must be made in the currency indicated on your Order before submitting it.

      Your products will be delivered as soon as we receive your payment. Orders placed with KLARNA are dispatched before payment is received. If we do not receive your payment in cleared funds within 30 days from the date of your order, your order will be cancelled.

      Payment by credit/debit card

      At the time of your Order, we will contact your card issuer to request authorization to use your card to pay for the Products. We will not accept your order (and therefore we will not supply you with the Products) until your credit or debit card issuer has authorized the use of your card to pay for the Products ordered. As soon as your credit or debit card issuer authorizes the use of your card, the necessary funds on your card will be held until the purchase process is completed or cancelled. However, your card will not be debited until the purchase process has been completed. Authorizations may remain pending for 3 to 7 days, even if orders are cancelled. In this case, no charge will be made, and the funds will become available again. Please contact your credit/debit card issuer for more information on their specific authorization policy.

      We reserve the right to verify the identity of the credit or debit card holder by requesting supporting documents.

      We take all necessary measures to secure our Site and prevent fraud. All credit and debit card transactions made on this Site are processed by Shopify, a secure online gateway which will be responsible for the automated management of your payment details, in a secure environment. Please note that we may, at any time and at our sole discretion, prevent deliveries to certain countries or destinations deemed to present a high risk of fraud.
